A weak high-pressure system combined with a warm air mass is set to see temperatures rise to 38C on Saturday with 39+C forecast for Sunday.
Dust particles will linger in the atmosphere until Tuesday, with concentrations rising at times, potentially affecting air quality.
Saturday will be mostly clear, although thin high clouds will appear now and then. Winds will start light and variable, around force 3 on the Beaufort scale. Later, they will shift mainly to a southwesterly then northwesterly direction, remaining light to moderate.
Temperatures are expected to reach about 38C inland, 30C along the southern, eastern, and northern coasts, and around 28C near the western coasts and in higher mountainous areas.
On Saturday night temperatures will fall to around 19C inland and along the coasts, and roughly 18C in the higher mountains.
Looking ahead to Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, the weather will generally remain mostly clear with periods of increased cloud cover. There is a chance of isolated light showers on Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will stay well above average on Sunday and Monday, showing little change. On Tuesday, however, a notable drop in temperature is expected.
