A 20-year-old man was arrested on Thursday afternoon as police continue to investigate malicious damage to a patrol vehicle in Limassol in April.

The suspect was arrested at about after a warrant was issued on the basis of evidence that emerged during the ongoing investigation.

For the same case, two other people, both aged 16, were arrested on May 2, who have been charged and released, to be summoned at a later stage.

The incident occurred late in the afternoon of Holy Thursday, April 17, when the police received information about the lighting of a fire and the presence of about 20 people, who had their faces covered with hoods.

When members of the police arrived at the scene their vehicle was attacked by youngsters throwing stones and causing damages.
